Not So Holly Jolly Christmas
Hey everyone! I hope you all had an amazing Christmas! This should be short because I was sick all week

I thought that the food poisoning I got on my first transfer here was bad but it was nothing compared to this one. I woke up at 1:30 in the middle of the night Tuesday to Mike Tyson using my stomach as a punching bag right out of prison. I went to the bathroom where I received a double headed dragon for 45 minutes 🐲🐲 My comp and I then would take turns the rest of the night and all of Tuesday.
We didn’t go out till late afternoon Wednesday where our friend Gael introduced us to his friends that are also interested. They read the Book of Mormon together before we come. Then we visited our friend Ricardo and his, I’m pretty sure, autistic friend who was yappin the whole time.
Christmas we didn’t do anything besides watch some movies provided by the Mission President (Best 2 Years, Napoleon Dynamite, Lego Batman) and then that night I cooked some steaks and got a grease burn on my thumb.
Friday we worked all day and then tried to invite Ricardo to be baptized, to which he said he wants to be baptized maybe when he’s 30 and we were like “but what’s gonna change once you turn 30?” And he realized that that is a long time but still thinks he needs some time. After that we went home where…
I had another episode w/ my heart😁😁😁 Idk what caused it because I got good sleep the night before, I drank almost 3 liters of water and ate with every meal. My heart rate was at 120bpm for about 1 ½ hours so we went to a nearby clinic at like 11:30 and the people there gave me a EKG and then told me it was fine but don’t know what caused my high heart rate. They then gave me a pill and sent me home. I’m alright now but the Mission President’s Wife says I have to go out later in the afternoon from here on out.
Saturday I didn’t work in the morning because I was drained from my heart going nuts but we worked the afternoon where Gael introduced us to another friend.
Sunday we had Ricardo come and the son of a recently reactivated member come so that was baller. Then we got ready and today we have interviews with the MP and I have to give a breakdown on what the flip is up with my heart to his wife.

RIP Elder Holland the GOAT. In honor of him and his amazing talks, I wanna share a quote I read just the other day from him from his talk “Tomorrow the Lord Will Do Wonders among You”:

Call out like Alma, “O Jesus, … have mercy on me.” He will help you get back up. He will help you repent, repair, fix whatever you have to fix, and keep going.
