Football, Xbox, and Hanging Out ...

Michael Curtis, 18½, was born and raised in Queen Creek, Arizona. A recent graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Michael is proud to call the community he grew up in home. During his time at Benjamin Franklin, he played football and was part of the team that advanced to the 2nd round of the State Playoff’s his senior year. Football became a highlight of his high school experience. Known for his determination and positive energy, Michael made lasting friendships on and off the field, balancing academics, athletics, and time with those who matter most.

Outside of school, Michael enjoys the simple things that make life fun. He loves Mexican food, spends hours challenging friends and relatives on Xbox, and never misses an opportunity to hang out with his close circle. Above all, he admires and looks up to his two older brothers, Chris and Bryant, whose example has helped shape his character and ambitions. With a strong work ethic, a supportive family, and a clear sense of who he is.

Recently, Michael began a new and exciting chapter in his life as he left to serve a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He recently departed for the Mexico City Missionary Training Center, where he will spend several weeks learning, preparing, and strengthening his skills before traveling to his ultimate destination — Salta, Argentina. Michael is eager to serve, share his faith, and embrace the people, culture, and language of Argentina. His enthusiasm, compassion, and dedication will no doubt bless the lives of those he meets along the way.
