Fetching Hate Dogs
Hey everybody! Lmk how your week is doing!
I’m sending this on Tuesday because we had MLC yesterday with the new MP and they changed our PDay to today.
I’m gonna keep it a buck. Nothing happened this week. On Tuesday, within 30 minutes of leaving the apartment, my companion was bit by a dog😭😭 We didn’t even hear it, my comp just randomly grabbed my shoulder and I turned back and there was a mean dog. It tried going after me but he could tell I grew up on the streets of QCAZ so he backed off. We went to the hospital so my companion could get stitches and a vaccine. We were there for like 3 hours but it was chill because I got to watch like 45 minutes of Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse.
On Friday, President and Hermana Janzen left and we got President and Hermana Sajtroch. President and Hermana Janzen will 1000% be missed and gave great final testimonies, and it’s weird seeing a change, but President and Hermana Sajtroch seem really hyped to be here and so that’s cool.
We were eating lunch on Thursday at a member’s house and a bird flew in out of nowhere so that was fun. Their crazy ahh dog was eyeing it the whole time and we thought for sure it was going to jump and try to kill the bird.
And then on Saturday, my comp almost got bit again by another dog lol
The rest of the week nothing happened. We tried working from home by texting people to set up lessons over call and #nooneresponded. We were able to have a good lesson on Friday with Florencia, however, so she came to church on Sunday and should get baptized in 2 weeks.
Spiritual Thought:
I’m almost to the end of the war chapters in the Book of Mormon, and like the other times of read these chapters, it’s kinda difficult to get something out of what I read. I thought a lot about what I read so I could get something out of them, and what came to mind is the covenant they made in Alma 46. The covenant that they made was honored at all times in the 17 chapters after the covenant was made. If they were righteous, carried the name of Christ, and kept the commandments, they would have victory, and if not any of those things, then they had no promise. The Lord honors the covenants we make with him. When we honor our covenants, yes, we will still face hardship, loss, trials, spiritual and physical wars, but we know we will have victory over those things because Christ has gained victory over all things, even death.
